A New WAV for Vanessa & Stephen

Automotive Group delivered a new WAV to Vanessa and Stephen earlier this month. Thrilled with their new WAV and excited about their first trip away, here’s what Vanessa had to say:

“Wow, just wow.  What can I say.  We ordered the new Citroen Spacetourer through the Automotive Group last July.  The purpose of ordering it was to make my husband, Stephen’s life so much nicer when we were out in the car.  We previously had a VW Caddy and he was always shut away in the boot and could never join in conversations or hear us when we spoke.  He could never see where we were when we went out as his view was restricted and he didn’t feel like part of the family.  We borrowed a Spacetourer for a few days from another company and Stephen found that he was able to sit in between the two back seats, giving him the opportunity to be close to us and to hear us when we spoke etc.  He could also see where we were and help me with directions etc.  This was the reason for ordering the new vehicle.

Through no fault of Automotive Group there was a significant delay on the vehicle being ordered by Citreon.  We were not aware of this and decided in January to book a few days away in May for our Silver Wedding Anniversary.  We were made to believe we would have this vehicle in good time, as we intended on taking both Stephen’s power wheelchair and his manual, to give us the chance to do lots of stuff while away.  To cut a long story short, time was getting on and there was no sign of the car.  Linda at the Automotive Group was incredibly helpful and kept chasing and chasing and in the end she put it in the hands of the General Manager, Jackie Smith.  Jackie was amazing and pulled strings to enable us to get the car in time for our break away and it was delivered to us on the 13^th May.

We went away to the New Forest on 20^th May and for the first time, Stephen was able to see where we were going, was able to talk to me like any other passenger could, and was able to help me with following the directions on the SatNav (something I’m not very good at doing).

We had an amazing time and I have to send my sincere thanks to Jackie and her amazing team, Linda, Megan and Samantha who all bent over backwards to help us get our vehicle in time for our break away.  Nothing was a problem for these amazing people.  Stephen and I genuinely can’t thank them enough for what they have done.  Stephen now loves going out in the car with us and his whole driving experience is completely different to how it has been for the last 5 years.  Thank you Jackie and the girls.  I will never be able to thank you all enough.”
